The Estonian Society of Cardiology was founded in September 1963. On May 27-28th, 1993, the 30th anniversary of the Society was celebrated with a jubilee conference in Tallinn. The journal “Estonian Physician” dedicated its 1993 second issue entirely on cardiology by publishing the materials of that conference. In the same issue of the journal, the long-time president of the Estonian Society of Cardiology, Dr. Jaan Eha, gave a thorough overview of the foundation and history of our Society. An article was also published in the journal “Estonian Physician” on the occasion of the 40th year of the foundation of the Society. On December 6th, 2013, the 50th anniversary of the Estonian Society of Cardiologists was celebrated with a spectacular conference.
